Online (digital) application
One document is enough if it can be read digitally:
- Biometric or machine-readable passport with an NFC chip (any country)
- Irish passport card
- Photocard driving licence — UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or EU
- Biometric national identity card — EU, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein
- UK biometric residence permit or biometric residence card
- UK Frontier Worker permit
You photograph the document on your phone and take a short liveness selfie. Around ten minutes, wherever you are in the world.
Documents required
In-person / two-document route
If your document cannot be read digitally, provide one of these combinations:
- Option A — two photographic identity documents: non-biometric passport, EU/EEA national identity card, UK or international photocard driving licence, or UK biometric residence permit or card
- Option B — one photographic identity document from that list, plus one proof of residential address dated within the last 3 months: bank statement, utility bill, council tax or mortgage statement
- If you live outside the United Kingdom, at least one of the two documents must be government issued
- Documents must be original, valid and undamaged — photocopies and scans of copies cannot be accepted
- If your name has changed, include the marriage certificate or deed poll that evidences it

We review what you have sent, confirm your document route and issue an invoice for the correct fee — £125 UK-based director, £175 foreign director. Our bank details are on the invoice and in the engagement letter.

You settle the invoice by bank transfer; we confirm receipt and send your personal TrustID verification link, valid for 14 days.

Open the link on your phone, photograph your document and take a short selfie — around ten minutes.

We review the result, submit the ACSP Identity Verification Statement to Companies House, and confirm the outcome to you in writing.
Payment details
Invoice, then bank transfer
We do not publish our bank account details online. Send us the signed engagement letter and completed applicant information form first — we then review your document route and issue an invoice for the correct fee, £125 for a UK-based director or £175 for a foreign or overseas director, all inclusive with no VAT.
- Our bank details appear on the invoice and in the engagement letter you receive.
- Payment is by bank transfer to Tax and Accounting Hub Ltd, quoting your full name and “ACSP” as the reference.
- Processing starts on receipt of full payment and the signed engagement letter.
Submission instructions
Once your forms are complete
Sign the engagement letter, complete the applicant information form and email both to us with a clear photo of your identity document. We will confirm your document route and send an invoice with our payment details. Once payment clears, one of our team members issues your secure verification link.
Never post original documents. You must complete the camera steps yourself, and the verification link expires 14 days after it is issued.

What is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)?
An Authorised Corporate Service Provider is a firm registered with Companies House and supervised for anti-money-laundering purposes that can verify a person's identity and confirm it to Companies House. Tax and Accounting Hub Ltd is registered as an ACSP and is supervised by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
Who must complete Companies House identity verification?
Under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, every UK company director, Person with Significant Control (PSC), LLP member and anyone filing at Companies House must have their identity verified — including directors who live outside the United Kingdom.
What does the ACSP identity verification cost?
£125 all inclusive, with no VAT, for a UK-based director. £175 all inclusive, with no VAT, for a foreign or overseas-based director. The fee covers onboarding, the TrustID digital check, our compliance review and the Companies House submission.
What documents do I need for an in-person or two-document application?
If your document cannot be read digitally you provide two documents: either two photographic identity documents (non-biometric passport, EU/EEA national identity card, UK or international photocard driving licence, UK biometric residence permit or card), or one photographic identity document plus one proof of residential address dated within the last three months (bank statement, utility bill, council tax or mortgage statement). If you live outside the UK, at least one of the two documents must be government issued. Documents must be original, valid and undamaged.
What documents do I need for an online application?
A single valid biometric or machine-readable passport with an NFC chip is normally enough, as is an Irish passport card, a UK/Channel Islands/Isle of Man/EU photocard driving licence, an EU, Norwegian, Icelandic or Liechtenstein biometric national identity card, a UK biometric residence permit or card, or a UK Frontier Worker permit. You complete the check on your phone by photographing the document and taking a short selfie.
Do I have to travel to an office or post my passport?
No. The whole process is completed remotely from wherever you are in the world, and you must never post original documents. You do have to complete the camera steps personally — nobody may do them for you.
How do I pay and what happens next?
Sign the engagement letter and complete the applicant information form, then email them to info@taxandaccountinghub.com. We review what you have sent and issue an invoice for the correct fee — £125 for a UK-based director or £175 for a foreign director — with our bank details on it. Our bank account details are also set out in the engagement letter. Once payment clears we issue your secure verification link.
How long does verification take and what is the personal code?
Your secure TrustID link is personal, single use and expires after 14 days; the check itself takes around ten minutes. Once we confirm the verification, Companies House emails you an 11-character personal code which you use to connect your verified identity to your Companies House record.
